Request for expression of interest (consultancy service)

Mongolian Nature and Environment Consortium(MNEC) is welcoming research institutes, company, NGOs and other legal entities to provide  the consultancy services in respect to carrying out   to estimate Coal Mine Methane (CMM) resources at coal basins throughout of Mongolia in order to identify prospective CMM project sites, and to develop an accurate, high quality CMM resources inventory within Mongolia.    

The following qualifications  are expected for carrying-  out the mentioned services;

• The  offeror has to be an entity duly incorporated under the laws of Mongolia;
• At  least  5 (five) years work experiences in supply field expertise and equipment for measuring of methane contents in Coal mining;
• Good experiences Developed a methodology to calculate emissions from abandoned mines that is used in Mongolia’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory;
• Good experiences on development and revision  methods and emission factors used to calculate emissions from surface mines used in  Mongolia’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory;
• The purchase and shipped to Mongolia the necessary equipment to collect coal samples for gas desorption testing with relevant  supply materials 
• Experiences for training on the CMM methodology for the  methane measurements , Greenhouse Gas Services (GHGS), which included guidance and supporting documents for drafting project build documents, monitoring plans, and reporting requirements;
• Offeror should  be  in  strong position in terms of personal capability

The estimated period to accomplish  the assignment  is 7 months after signature of the contract.
